What are Tea Towels?

A tea towel is a soft, breathable cloth, traditionally made from 100% cotton or linen, perfect for drying dishes and wiping hands in the kitchen. Originally from 18th-century England, tea towels were used to insulate warm teapots, which is how they got their name!

Our tea towels are made of 100% flour-sack cotton. Thin threads are tightly woven to create a uniquely textured, highly absorbent, lightweight cloth - which allows the towels to dry quickly.

    • Dry your hands and dishes with ease.
    • Cover fermenting jars to keep dust and flies away.
    • Use as a cheesecloth or strainer.
    • Take it on a picnic as a napkin or placemat.
    • Keep produce fresh by wrapping it in a damp towel before storing.
    • Roll up washed greens to absorb extra moisture.
    • Gently cover rising dough—no lint in your bread!
    • Wrap up bread or baked treats to keep them fresh.
    • Lay out saved seeds to dry.
    • Wear it as an apron—just add a tie if needed!
