About Us

Meet Yuki Osada

Yuki Osada is an illustrator and designer whose images carry a spark of delight, drawn with a hand that feels both present and playful. Trained in textile and graphic design, Yuki spent years working in New York City as a textile designer and graphic artist for the fashion and home furnishing industries before relocating to sunny Florida. Her creative path winds through children’s book illustration, mural work, and wallpaper design, tied together by a love of making things that lift the heart and brighten the day.

Her art often features soulful animal characters in curious, affectionate moments — a visual language that gently invites connection. Each piece begins as a drawing — a quiet sketch of a creature mid-thought, or a glance between companions — and is thoughtfully brought to life through small-batch printing. Whether made with the help of a local studio or produced directly in her home workspace, the result is something made to feel at home — familiar, expressive, and full of feeling.

The Miss Johnny Squirrel Studio

Miss Johnny Squirrel is Yuki’s creative studio and storefront, where art brings softness to the spaces we live in. Here, you’ll find illustrated goods designed to be both beautiful and intentional. Our collections include hand-printed tea towels, 8x10 and 8x8 art prints, greeting cards, stickers, and mugs. Each piece celebrates themes of food, friendship, and local charm, often seen through the gentle expressions of woodland animals and the tender humor of shared moments.

We sell weekly at local Florida markets, where we get to see firsthand the joy our products spark. That spirit continues online, with every package shipped as an invitation to smile, pause, and connect. Whether you’re decorating your kitchen, sending a card to a friend, or hanging a small piece that makes your space feel more like you, we hope our work brings a little warmth into your world.
