What are Tea Towels?
What are Tea Towels?
A tea towel is a soft, breathable cloth, traditionally made from 100% cotton or linen, perfect for drying dishes and wiping hands in the kitchen. Originally from 18th-century England, tea towels were used to insulate warm teapots, which is how they got their name!
Our tea towels are made of 100% flour-sack cotton. Thin threads are tightly woven to create a uniquely textured, highly absorbent, lightweight cloth - which allows the towels to dry quickly.
- Dry your hands and dishes with ease.
- Cover fermenting jars to keep dust and flies away.
- Use as a cheesecloth or strainer.
- Take it on a picnic as a napkin or placemat.
- Keep produce fresh by wrapping it in a damp towel before storing.
- Roll up washed greens to absorb extra moisture.
- Gently cover rising dough—no lint in your bread!
- Wrap up bread or baked treats to keep them fresh.
- Lay out saved seeds to dry.
- Wear it as an apron—just add a tie if needed!
